Raine Square confirms Tim Ho Wan and Hunter & Barrel for Stage 1 Opening
- Raine Square to open in September 2018
- Tim Ho Wan first Michelin-starred restaurant chain comes to Raine Square
- Hunter & Barrel’s first CBD flagship restaurant
A Michelin-starred restaurant chain, Perth’s only CBD based-cinemas and a range of new food concept stores are among the latest offerings confirmed to open this September as part of Raine Square’s Stage 1 dining and entertainment precinct launch.
To be headlined by international dumpling house Tim Ho Wan, Raine Square is destined to become one of Perth’s hottest new foodie haunts. For the Michelin-starred dim sum chain, Raine Square will be its first Western Australian restaurant. Its popular Singapore and Melbourne restaurants are known for their long queues and delectable baked pork buns.
Confirming its first Western Australian restaurant, Victor Aghtan Chairman, HDS Group said they had received overwhelming support from the Perth community for its latest restaurant.
“We are thrilled to launch our second Australian outlet at Raine Square in the heart of Perth’s CBD. Following strong support and requests for a Perth Tim Ho Wan restaurant we are confident that our dim sum will be well accepted here in Perth and are looking forward to opening our doors to the people of Perth in just a few months.”
The popular Hunter & Barrel will also launch its first city-based restaurant at Raine Square, the second WA location for the Group following its Whitfords restaurant launch in September of last year.
“We are very excited to be opening Hunter & Barrel at Raine Square. We believe that the location is perfect, right in the heart of Perth CBD's new dining hub, within the Yagan Square, Northbridge, Palace Cinemas and Perth Arena entertainment precinct.” Laurie Thorpe, Seagrass BHG Perth Operations Manager.
Hunter & Barrel offer a unique dining experience, the hunters way. Modern in design, but maintaining the raw elements of nature the venue will ooze sophistication. The bar features a selection of handpicked local and international wines, barrel aged spirits and cocktails infused with fruits and spices prepared before you.
“I believe that we will become an institution for all visiting the CBD, as a meeting place after work for lunch and dinner.” Mr Thorpe said.
Charter Hall’s Regional Portfolio Manager, WA Miles Rowe said he was excited to see the new dining and entertainment offer further enrich Perth CBD’s growing foodie and cultural offer.
“Our city is currently undergoing an exciting food and cultural evolution. This new precinct is set to be an enormous part of that.
“The range and calibre of food talent here at Raine Square is second to none. Tim Ho Wan is one of our most sensational casual dining additions bringing something new to the local foodie landscape.
“In addition, we welcome Hunter & Barrel into the City with the opening of its second restaurant as well as a range of new casual dining eateries to deliver one of the most extensive and diverse dining offers available in the City.” Mr Rowe said.
A range of exciting new food concept stores, casual dining restaurants and ‘grab and go’ outlets will be announced over coming weeks.
Raine Square’s redevelopment is the outcome of Charter Hall’s commitment to deliver an exceptional, well considered, seven-day a week late-night, retail, dining and entertainment precinct in the Perth CBD. On completion, the redevelopment will increase Raine Square from 9,000sqm to 18,0000sqm.
Raine Square is located on the corner of Wellington, William, Murray and Queen Streets and with direct tunnel access from Perth Underground Station.
