The Human Library® is a not for profit learning platform that has hosted events since 2000. It started in Copenhagen and is currently operational on six continents and involved in events in more than 85 countries.

The Human Library Perth chapter has started hosting successful events since 2024. In the Human Library®, our Books are real people from the community who have experienced prejudice, stigmatisation, or discrimination often due to their lifestyle, diagnosis, beliefs, disability, sexuality, or social status. At Human Library® events, Readers enter a safe and respectful space where they can "borrow" a Book, listen to their personal stories, and ask questions with the aim to challenge stereotypes, build understanding, and ultimately “unjudge” someone.
